Auburn University at Montgomery
Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is a public university located in Montgomery, Alabama. As a branch of Auburn University system of schools, AUM is governed by a board of trustees. The Alabama State Legislature established AUM in 1967.AUM is home to almost 6,000 undergraduate and graduate degree seeking students. Degrees at AUM are offered through the university's five academic schools which include the schools of liberal arts, science, nursing, business and education. AUM also has a large continuing education program, with more than 10,000 continuing education students.
AUM is made up of two academic colleges and two schools. These include the colleges of business and arts & sciences and the schools of education and nursing. All four academic institutions offer bachelor, master and specialist degree programs. Among the top degrees offered at AUM, business administration ranks first, with over 25% of students receiving a degree in this area of study. Its business school is ranked among the top 5 business programs in the nation. Other popular programs at AUM include its nursing, liberal arts, biology, elementary education and secondary education.
In partnership with Auburn University, AUM offers a doctorate program in Public Administration. It also offers continuing education programs to over 10,000 students each year. Continuing education includes career training, certificate programs, ESL, youth programs, corporate education, personal enrichment and computer training programs.
Athletics is an important part of the academic experience for students living on campus. AUM teams complete as the Warhawks and belong to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Sports offered at AUM include basketball, tennis, soccer, cross country, baseball (men) and softball (women).
Auburn University at Montgomery offers several online learning opportunities. Students have the ability to earn their degree online or via a hybrid program with combines online and campus-based study. Online degree programs are offered in liberal arts, sciences, education, nursing and public policy and justice.
