Capitol College
Capitol College is a non-profit, private college which specializes in undergraduate and graduate programs in information technology, engineering, business, and computer science. Originally established as the Capitol Radio Engineering Institute in 1927, Capitol College is located in unincorporated Prince George's County, south of Laurel, Maryland.U.S. News & World Report lists Capitol College's graduate engineering program among the top 50 online programs in the U.S., in the category of "Student Services and Technology." In the category of "Student Engagement and Accreditation," Capitol College's online programs ranked 15th in the nation.
G.I. Jobs Magazine consistently lists Capitol College among its "Military Friendly Schools." This list is recognizes and celebrates the top 15 percentile of American learning institutions which provide the most assistance to active military service members and veterans, as well as their spouses and dependents.
Online Degrees at Capitol College
Capitol College offers online degrees designed with the busy, working professional in mind. Online degrees include master degrees, doctorate degrees, or technology certificates, all offered 100% online through the university's virtual campus. Recently, U.S. News and World Report ranked Capitol College's online graduate engineering degree as one of the best.All online courses at Capitol College are given during the evenings on weekdays and Saturdays. While most online degrees are entirely online, doctorate degrees do have some weekend residency requirements. Students access and study course material whenever and wherever they choose. Online learning session are asynchronous and professor-led. While students can participate in live classes, all classes are recorded so students can replay them at their convenience. Students are able to communicate with professors and other students via email and online discussion boards. The average class size is about 20 students.
