College of the Redwoods

Located in a beautiful, natural setting and surrounded by Humboldt Bay, the National Wildlife Refuge and rich ranch and dairy land is College of the Redwoods. Many students are drawn to the peace and tranquility the forest setting has to offer, while others stay for the amazing view. The college is named for the native trees of the region.

In addition to the unique setting, this two-year public community college has plenty to offer its students. Not only do they offer the community-based and vocational classes community colleges are known for, they also have plenty of specialty programs to choose from. From Hospitality to Drafting, a Police Academy to Truck Driving School, Nursing and Dental to Culinary Arts, this college has what you’re looking for. The college also has a comprehensive transfer program to help students on their way to the four-year institution of their choice.

If Eureka is too far away, the college offers two satellite campuses. The Del Norte branch is found in Crescent City, while Fort Bragg is the home of the Mendocino Coast location. College of the Redwoods also offers classes at additional off-campus sites found in Shively, Southern Humboldt as well as on the Hoopa Valley Tribe Reservation.

Online courses offered by College of the Redwoods are a great option for students seeking to earn a college degree while managing multiple responsibilities. Online courses are fully accredited and transferable.
