Contra Costa College
Contra Costa College offers many outstanding programs of study and learning. The college has an award-winning newspaper, The Advocate, which has won 14 Pacemaker honors.The school’s Associate Degree Nursing program is also nationally renowned. Graduates achieved passing grades on the state NCLEX exam between 90 and 100 percent.
The school offers opportunities for women and students of color in its Center for Science Excellence. This program has helped to increase enrollment in areas such as engineering, math and science. Internship programs, such as offers to learn at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, encourage students to continue their learning in the community.
Contra Costa College boasts a premier Speech and Debate Team, which participates in competition around the country.
For technically advanced students, the school offers its High Performance Computer Center. The campus of Contra Costa College is located in San Pablo, California. It is a member of the California Community College System and also a part of the Contra Costa Community College district as the west campus location.
