Georgia Southern University (GS) is a public higher learning institution based in Statesboro, Georgia. Offering a wide range of doctoral, master's, and baccalaureate degree programs, GS is the largest university in the southern half of Georgia. Serving a student body of over 20,000 students, GS is the 5th largest university in the University System of Georgia.GS is comprised of eight colleges: the College of Education, the Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Information Technology, the College of Science and Mathematics, the Jack N. Averitt College of Graduate Studies, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health and Human Sciences, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health. These eight colleges combined offer over 120 degree programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.
GS's College of Business Administration offers some unique programs which have earned it a high reputation in the academic community. Within the College of Business Administration, students may study at the only School of Economic Development in the southeast region of the U.S. The college also offers the nation's only AACSB certified forensic accounting courses, available to both graduate and undergraduate students.

Georgia Southern University Online Degrees
GS now offers many of its programs and courses completely online, via its virtual campus. This program was initially launched on January 9, 2008. Georgia Southern University offers flexible and convenient online programs in various fields of study including education, business and healthcare. Their programs are ideal for working professionals and busy student who don't have the time or means of attending campus courses. Students are also able to take a combination of online and campus-based course as they pursue their degree.Online students at GS are able to earn their degree anytime, anywhere in the world – as long as they have an Internet enabled computer. Online degrees are available at the undergraduate and graduate levels. They also offer special benefits for military personnel.
