Jones International University

Jones International University (JIU) is an online university offering a range of business and education degrees. JIU was established in 1993 by Glenn R. Jones, and was the first university to exist entirely online. Jones was also the founder of the cable television network Mind Extension University (which later became Knowledge TV). This network, launched in 1987, broadcast courses from over 30 universities and colleges to an audience of 30,000 students.

Jones International University was accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools in 1999. It was the first fully online university in the United States to receive this regional accreditation.

Online degree programs at Jones International are offered the the School of Business and School of Education at the associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. It also offers several accelerated degrees that can be completed in less time than a traditional degree.
