Oral Roberts University
Oral Roberts University (ORU), based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the United States, is an interdenominational, Christian, comprehensive liberal arts university with an enrollment of about 3,335 students from 50 U.S. states along with a significant number of international students from 65 countries. ORU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), and offers over 60 undergraduate degree programs along with a number of masters and doctoral degrees. ORU was also ranked as one of 123 institutions in the 2012 "Best in the West" regional list produced by The Princeton Review.ORU offers undergraduate programs in theology, business, music, communication arts, modern languages, behavioral sciences, graphics, education, biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematical science, engineering, physics, English, history, humanities, government and nursing. The university also has a graduate seminary and fully accredited graduate programs in Business and Education.
Students in the College of Science and Engineering with a GPA of 3.4 or higher have an 86% medical school acceptance rate and 75% dental school acceptance rate. ORU students have been accepted into more than 70 medical schools nationally, including Johns Hopkins University, Washington University, and Duke University.
ORU is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, one of two commission members of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). A major distinction of ORU is its high number of additional specialized program accreditations, especially for a university of its size.
