Sonoma State University
Sonoma State University, commonly known as Sonoma State, is one of CSU’s smallest public ally owned and operated universities. Found in Rohnert Park, California, it is set between Santa Rosa and San Francisco. While Sonoma State is commonly labeled as a university for liberal arts, many of its students study business and psychology as well. Over 90 undergraduate programs are offered, as well as about 20 Master’s degrees and a Doctor of Education. These programs, as well as over 10 teaching licenses, are divided into the university’s seven schools, where all the departments and programs provide undergraduate degrees, post-graduate degrees – including master’s and doctorates – and minors.
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges provides accreditation for Sonoma State, and the university’s School of Business and Economics – as well as other schools – have received recognition by other associations, such as the internationally esteemed Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Through Sonoma's School of Extended & International Education department students have the ability to earn an online bachelor's degree in liberal studies or an online master's degree in business, psychology, organizational development, Spanish and computer & engineering.
Sonoma State has also been ranked by The Princeton Review several times as a “Best Value” college, and it is considered one of the 12 most environmentally-minded universities in the country.
