Health and Safety Engineer Career

Health and safety engineers, excluding mining safety engineers, apply their engineering knowledge to develop strategies for protecting the health and safety of people. For example, they identify potential workplace hazards, such as fire risks or hazardous chemicals, and implement strategies to prevent harm to people and equipment. They measure risk and recommend loss prevention strategies. Certain health and safety engineers work with manufactures to develop safe products, recognize work hazards, and design hazard control procedures.
