University of North Carolina School of Nursing

The School of Nursing at UNC-Chapel Hill was one of the first nursing schools to be established in United States. The school’s mission focuses on research, practice, and nursing education. According to the U.S. News & World Report, the School of Nursing ranks among the top five nursing graduate schools. Many of the school’s programs also rank among the top 10 in the nation. These programs include nursing service administration, family nurse practitioner, psychiatric/mental health clinical nurse specialist, and pediatric nurse practitioner.

The School of Nursing offers a large range of programs. These programs include: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master’s of Science in Nursing, and RN Master’s of Science in Nursing option, a post-Master’s program, a Doctoral program and pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships. In addition, they offer the first PhD program in North Carolina.
